Morning Circle: September 1, 10:30 at the
church.

Card Workshop: Ladies, we will have a
recycled card assembly workshop on Thursday,
September 9 at 9:30 a.m. All supplies will be
provided, so just bring yourself. Our supply of recycled cards is
getting low. Also, if you have greeting cards (no Christmas) you can
contribute, we would welcome them. Please be sure to include the
greeting on the inside along with the cover design. You may
remove notes if you wish, but we need the greeting. Cards may be
brought to the church at any time and left in the Good News Sunday
School Class.

Gift Baskets for the Vendor Fest: Our ever popular gift baskets
will be available at the October 9th Vendor Fest. In order to have
them for sale, we need donations of items. We can use baskets or
decorative containers. Here are some ideas for content donations:
coffees, teas, mugs, gourmet cookies, decorative tea towels, bath
and body products, small items for teachers’ baskets, kitchen wares,
jams, jellies, blank recipe cards and small recipe books, gardening
items, items for pasta baskets, etc. Call Dixie Click if you have
thought of something else, or she can provide you with ideas (328-
8173). On Thursday, October 7, at 9:30 a.m. we will assemble the
baskets. These baskets are always big sellers so we need to have a
good variety of quality merchandise.

Vendor Gallery: Help spread the word about the
UMW Vendor Gallery on October 9th. Linda Beard
and Hope Carter have registration forms and
information. Reservations are coming in and we
have a very interesting variety of crafts and
products. In addition, the Aldersgate UMW will have a bake sale
and their knives, flavorings, and greeting cards.

UMW District Annual Meeting: The Rock Hill District UMW will
hold their 2010 annual meeting, Sept. 25, at 1st UMC in Lancaster
(Pastor Joseph’s new church). Registration is 9:00-9:45 and the
meeting begins at 10:00. Lunch will be served and the $5.00 is
payable at registration. They would like us to preregister so they
have some idea of attendance. Registration forms are on the table
next to the Fellowship Hall Door. Mary Johnson, our SCCUMW
President is the speaker. Let’s have a good group from Aldersgate.
We can carpool by meeting at the church. Let Janie Matson know if
you are planning to attend.

South Carolina Conference UMW Annual Meeting: This year
the Annual Meeting is at Murrell’s Inlet on October 22-23. If we
register before October 8, the fee is $25.00. After the 8th it is
$35.00. It is an overnight trip so early registration is important.
Registration forms for this meeting are also on the table next to the
Fellowship Hall and please let Janie Matson know if you are going.
We are being asked to bring gift cards and booklets of stamps,
which will be given to the five mission projects supported by the SC
Conference. The gift cards can be from Food Lion, Wal-Mart, Bi-Lo,
etc. Please write the amount of the card on the card.
